How To Map Inventory Groups in Tirelink
To map products to the correct tab in Tirelink:
1. MAP MANUFACTURERS
If there is ONLY a Manufacturer code, and NO Style code for the product, only the Manufacturer code needs to be mapped to the correct Product Group.
This is the preferred method if possible, as this method is simplest.
(This screen can be seen by click the MFG icon on the Inventory Lookup screen.
2. MAP STYLES
If there is a Manufacturer code, AND a Style code for the product, the Style code needs to be mapped to the correct Product Group.
If there are multiple product types per manufacturer, the assignment by style is required.
(This screen can be seen by clicking the STYLE icon on the Inventory Lookup screen.
3. REBUILD KEYWORDS
Once Manufacturer Codes / Style Codes have been mapped, Admin & Util> Inventory > Rebuild Keyword routine will need to be run.
The Build Keyword routine builds the menus for each tab.
- Keyword for Tubes = RAWSIZE
- Keyword for Accessories = RAWSIZE
- Keywords for Wheel = RIM WIDTH, RIM WIDTH, BOLT PATTERN
Once MFG and STYLE codes have been mapped to the product group, NEW product keywords will be added to the keywords file if they contain a NEW keyword. If keywords are missing on any pulldown, the Build Keywords can also be re-run.
OTHER NOTES:
**Some users may not have their inventory well defined by MFG and/ or STYLE. This may require extracting their inventory, editing manufacturer or style and re-uploading.
**It may be possible that a user has STYLE codes in their inventory, but has never created STYLE FILES. STYLE FILES are required to map styles. If the STYLE FILE is missing, you may have to run the MAKESTYLES program.
